Po 30 latach samodzielnego istnienia Norman Safeground zostaje przejęte przez AVG Technologies. Norman to mało w Polsce popularna linia produktów AV/IS, ale kiedyś dość innowacyjna (jedne z pionierskich zastosowań piaskownicy w pakietach zabezpieczających), a programy choć przyciężkawe, to jednak interesujące.

This acquisition will help expand AVG’s existing European footprint into the regions supported by Norman Safeground and provide customers with greater product choice and enhanced support services.
Norman Safeground has an established presence and strong customer base across western Europe with offices and users in regions that include DACH, Benelux and the Nordics, which are key growth markets for AVG. This acquisition will underpin and drive forward the rollout of new consumer Protection and Performance products, and business services including AVG CloudCare and AVG Managed Workplace to the marketplace over the next twelve months.
In addition, having a presence in these markets will enable AVG to provide better support to existing consumer and business customers, increase the AVG partner network across the region, and facilitate the implementation of AVG’s business product portfolio by getting the latest products to market quickly and efficiently.
